Introduction to basic computer

Understanding Computers seen from several aspects. The term computer has a broad meaning and is different for each person. The term computer (computer) is taken from the Latin word meaning computare count (to compute or to reckon).
According Blissmer (1985), a computer is an electronic device capable of performing multiple tasks, which receive input, process the input in accordance with the instructions, keep the commandments, and the results of its processing, and provides output in the form of information.Meanwhile, according to Sanders (1985), a computer is an electronic system to manipulate data quickly and accurately, and designed and organized in order to automatically receive and store input data, processes it, and produces output based on the instructions that have been stored in memory. And many more experts are trying to define it differently on the computer. However, in essence, it can be concluded that the computer isan electronic equipment that can accept input, process the input, to provide information, using a program stored in the computer's memory, it can store the programs and the results of processing, and works automatically. From these definitions, there are three important terms, the input (data), data processing, and information (output). Data processing using a computer known as electronic data processing (EDP) or elecronic data processing (EDP). Data is a collection of events lifted from a fact (fact), to the form of numbers, letters, special symbols, or a combination of all three. Data still not able to tell much that needs to be processed further.Data processing is a process of manipulation of data into a form that is more useful and more means, in the form of information. Thus, the information is the result of a data processing activities that provide a more meaningful than a fact. Therefore, electronic data processing is the manipulation of the data into a more meaningful form of an information using an electronic device, the computer.According to the Annual Computer (Robert H.Blissmer), a computer is an electronic device capable of performing multiple tasks as follows:

Receiving input

Process input earlier in accordance with its program

Saving commands and results of treatment

Providing output in the form of informationAccording to the Computer Today (Donald H.Sanders), a computer is an electronic system to manipulate data quickly and accurately, and designed and organized in order to automatically receive and store data input, processing and output under the supervision of a step-by-step instructions that program stored in memory (stored program).According to the Computer Organization (VC Hamacher, ZG Vranesic. Zaky SG), a computer is a fast electronic calculating machine can accept digital input information, process it in accordance with a program stored in memory (stored program) and generate output information.According to the book Introduction To The Computer, The Tool Of Busines (William M.Fouri), a computer is a data processing (data processor) that can perform large calculations and fast, including large arithmetic or logic operations, without intervention from humans operate during processing.According to the book Introduction To Computers (Gordon B. Davis), a computer is a special type of calculation tools have certain specific properties. From some of the definitions derived from different books, it can be concluded that the computer is:

Electronic Equipment

Can receive data input

Can process data

Can provide information

Using a program stored in the computer memory (stored program)

Can store programs and processing results

Work automaticallyWhile the so-called program is a detailed set of instructions or orders which have been prepared so that the computer can perform its functions in a manner that is certain.Along with the development of the technology world might Definition The computer itself will change according to the context later.
